We embarked on the iconic train ride from Nanuoya to Ella—one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. Along the way, we crossed the legendary Nine Arches Bridge, surrounded by lush highlands and tropical countryside. After arriving in Ella, we hiked the picturesque trail to Little Adam’s Peak for sweeping views of Ella Rock, the tea plantations, and the valley below.

We trekked through the jungle to reach Ella’s most Instagrammable landmark—the Nine Arches Bridge, a 100-year-old architectural masterpiece nestled in the forest. After soaking in the views and watching a train pass, we made a quick stop at the majestic Ravana Waterfall—a must-see spot near Ella.

Epic Yala Safari Adventure | Elephants, Sloth Bear & Wildlife Galore
Welcome to Yala National Park—Sri Lanka’s top safari destination and home to an incredible range of wildlife. Within minutes, we were surrounded by a herd of elephants, and throughout the day spotted crocodiles, deer, buffalo, wild boar, and exotic birds. While leopards are Yala’s biggest attraction, we were lucky enough to see the ultra-rare Sloth Bear—a magical moment! Our adventure ended with a sunset farewell from another elephant group.

Journeying along Sri Lanka’s southern coastline, we explored the otherworldly Ussangoda National Park, known for its unique red soil and ancient legends. Then we visited Hummanaya Blowhole, the second largest in the world, before finishing the day at Dondra Head Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse in Asia and the southernmost tip of the island.

Mirissa & Weligama – 25:19

Blue Whale Watching in Mirissa | Fin Whales & Sunset at Coconut Hill
We set out at sunrise from Mirissa Harbor hoping to spot the majestic Blue Whale, the largest animal to have ever lived. While they stayed hidden, we were treated to an incredible sighting of Fin Whales and their calves. The day ended on the beach at Weligama Bay, with a golden-hour visit to Coconut Tree Hill, one of the most photogenic spots in southern Sri Lanka.
