I have been barely functioning for several months and it all came to a crashing head a few weeks ago
I saw my GP instead of doing something dangerous and am being referred for counselling, but it will take months, not days to get better

Depression is an illness, like asthma and epilepsy. It is NOT a choice. It is not your fault

This is what it feels like, for me, to wake up with depression
