Federal judge orders USDA to fund SNAP amid government shutdown, Trump seeks clarity

Описание: The federal government shutdown has now gone on for a month, and SNAP benefits will lapse for nearly 41 million Americans.

“We’re thinking about how we can address family needs that our families take care of on the weekends, and they use their SNAP benefits to do that,” John Hull, CEO of Everett Gospel Mission, said.

Hull said he is expecting a 20% increase in the need for hot meals, now that 900,000 Washingtonians, including 300,000 children, will not see their SNAP benefits roll in.
