Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barrier crossing with CCTV (MCB-CCTV)
Filming location: Sandbach Road South, Alsager (ST7 2XW)
A level crossing found beside Alsager Station in the town of Alsager, Cheshire, not too far north of Stoke-on-Trent. The pedestrian signals on the side of the road closest to the station are a newer addition, and the lowering of the off-side barriers is delayed by a few seconds compared to what it usually is (straight after the near side pair have lowered). One of the wigwags here is quite wonky also. In this video, the crossing is seen activating for a late Crewe-bound service.
