Join our host, Mervin, as he shares fun facts about Singapore's first wetland nature reserve,
Sungai Buloh. It is home to a wide diversity of fauna and flora. Every year, thousands of migratory birds from the Northern Hemisphere, en route to warmer climates, visit this wetland to roost and feed. Besides these seasonal visitors, Sungai Buloh is also home to other shorebirds, waders and wildlife. 53 species of native mangrove flora are also found in this habitat.
The “Human x Nature” exhibition features over 150 materials, many on public display for the first time. Learn about various understandings of the natural world, and how they shaped the different ways local, colonial, and migrant communities lived within and transformed the natural landscape.
Exhibition runs until 26 Sep 2021, 10 am to 9 pm daily
