Описание: Venture onto this relaxed 3.7-mile circular trail nestled near Reston, Virginia. While primarily perceived as an easy journey, expect to spend around 1 h 9 min for the full loop. The trail buzzes with birdwatching, hiking, and mountain biking activities, yet, during moments of respite, tranquility takes over. Optimal times to stop by are between March and November. Dog companions are welcome, with some areas allowing them free room.

The Turquoise trail boasts versatility, easily expandable in both directions thanks to its extensive pathway. The surface alternates between paved and natural dirt, accentuated with many bridges.

Regarding accessibility: Currently, no specific accessible spaces seem to be available along Soapstone Drive, which runs centrally through the trail. However, two dedicated accessible parking spots for vans, marked with an access aisle, are in the paved lot off Glade Drive.

The trail's ground varies, featuring pavement (with railings at bridges), gravel, and natural (soil/grass) surfaces, and generally maintains a width of at least 3 feet. The most accessible parts of the trail when traveling counterclockwise are the segments from 0.0 to 0.9 and 1.9 to 3.7 miles, which can be undertaken as a harmonious loop if adjoined with the initial 0.9 miles.

The estimated gradient is predominantly gentle (5% or less), apart from steeper uphill and downhill sections (8-12% gradient) found roughly between 1.2 and 1.7 miles when navigating counterclockwise. Those trail goers utilizing wheelchairs, mobility equipment, or strollers might require assistance in these steeper parts or might prefer to circumvent them entirely for safety. All-terrain tires or power-driven equipment may be required for the non-paved section. Stop off for a breather at one of the benches sprinkled along the trail.
