Kate's in Vietnam, taking a close look at coconut oil. Lately it's taken pride of place in every health-conscious kitchen, but is it really any healthier than other oils? Kate's journey takes her on a boat-trip down the Mekong Delta, where she learns exactly how this precious oil is extracted, before a trip to the English seaside, where she commandeers her own mobile chip van to see once and for all just which oil is the healthiest.
Jimmy's puzzled by exactly what goes into a supermarket jar of artichoke hearts, so he's off to Italy to visit one of Europe's largest producers. He solves this particular puzzle, only to stumble across another mystery – there's something in artichoke that sends his taste buds on a bizarre trip. And the plot thickens when Jimmy discovers it has something in common with a strange African berry.
And Matt's on the trail of every louche-living poet's favourite tipple, absinthe. Absinthe was banned throughout Europe for many years. So what's the truth behind this exotic sounding drink? Can it really lead to hallucinations and madness?
