On October 17, the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School hosted a daylong symposium to mark the 40th anniversary of the program. The overall theme of the event focused on “Envisioning the Future of Human Rights,” exploring expectations for the prospective development of the human rights movement and specific issues that it addresses or should address. Examining the trajectory of human rights also involved reflections on the past, as well, including reminiscences by panelists and speakers about the early years and milestones of HRP.
