Vanquish | The Iron Speed Demon | MAD Freestyle

PlatinumGames never disappoints, man. Vanquish is an extremely stylish third-person shooter that's been remastered for the current gen and out of EVERYONE'S radar it revolutionized the genre a decade ago. This game aged SO well, 10 years later and not even one shooter has been able to compete with it's innovative gameplay. It is such a unique and adrenaline-rushed take on cover based 3rd person shooters. Just imagine the type of shooters we'd have by now if developers found inspiration from this underrated yet misjudged gem.

All gameplay was done by me on the PS4 Pro; I just really wanted to show off what Vanquish is capable of in the hands of a player who has decent grasp of the mechanics since so many misguided reviews marketed it as "bland", "generic", or "another Gears of War clone"... which is absolutely not the case. I'm still learning new tactics each session and it is extremely satisfying. When I'm improvising with different maneuvers seamlessly in this chaotic game it's feels as if I've activated this "Ultra-Instinct"-mode within me. That in-the-zone-like feeling is an addiction that makes me keep coming back which I'm sure other fans of this game can relate to.

This was heavily inspired by Setnaro X's and Zaarock's montages on Vanquish. I wouldn't say I'm as good as those two but I believe that part of the beauty of this game is that anyone who dedicates the time pretty much develops their own unique style.
