Ingredients:
• 1 can chick peas
• 1/2 cup tahini
• 1 small clove of garlic, minced or pressed
• 4 tablespoons lemon juice
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• ¼ - ½ teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoon water
Directions:
• Wash and rinse the chick peas. If using dried chick peas, you need 1 and ½ cups of COOKED chickpeas
• Add the chick peas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt, to the food processor and purée for 2 minutes until all the ingredients are well combined into a smooth paste
• Scrape the sides and add 2 tablespoons (more or less) of water to thin out the paste
• Continue processing until it becomes very smooth and creamy
• If you find it too thick, add some more water and continue processing until you reach the desired consistency
• Serve immediately with a drizzle of olive oil or keep in the fridge for upto a week
