TL;DR VERSION

Ubisoft is winding down Shadows and shifting focus to Hexe, Invictus, Jade, League, AC Black Flag Resynced and the next phase of the franchise.

Shadows is entering its final support phase: smaller, less frequent updates.
Ubisoft will do a March 20 livestream (10 AM PT / 6 PM CET) for the latest update, Parkour Challenge winners, and giveaways.
Codename Hexe is confirmed as a darker, narrative-driven AC game from Ubisoft Montreal. Jean Guesdon is also its Creative Director.
Codename Invictus is confirmed as a PvP multiplayer AC game led by For Honor veterans at Ubisoft Montreal.
Ubisoft says Assassin’s Creed Jade is still in development.
Ubisoft is exploring co-op, and it pivoted away from one early project.
Assassin’s Creed Unity gets a free 60 FPS patch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 5, 2026.
Multiple AC games will be in Xbox Free Play Days from April 2-6, 2026.
