In a video posted on his social media, Palestinian-Kuwaiti journalist Ahmed Shihab-Eldin responded to accusations that United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese was pro-Hamas.
He showed that critics had used out-of-context clips from a speech she gave in Italy, and played the full segment, where Albanese explained that she had maintained a “critical eye” towards Hamas since before Israel’s war on Gaza began in October 2023.
