Strasburg Rail Road 90: The Lancastrian Steam Special | 2-10-0 Decapod Locomotive [4K]

Описание: Following a complete overhaul, Strasburg Rail Road's decapod No. 90 returned to service in 2025 to much fanfare. The locomotive was completely disassembled and rebuilt from the ground up, even receiving a fresh coat of paint, which featured the return of the 1990's "Family Scheme". In celebration of Easter, the newly refurbished engine was tasked with hauling trains along the world-famous Road to Paradise in Lancaster, PA. No. 90's return marks not just another milestone in her 101 year-long lifetime, but also the return of a beloved icon.

Locomotive No. 90 is the largest, strongest, and youngest out of the Strasburg Rail Road's famed fleet. Built in 1924 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for Colorado's Great Western Railway, No. 90 spent her early years hauling sugar beet trains across the Eastern Plains. In the formative days of the Strasburg Rail Road, 90 became a subject of interest and was subsequently purchased in 1967. She has called Lancaster her home ever since. In December 2023, she entered the shop for a federally mandated 1,472-day inspection and rebuild. Although she would mark her 100th birthday in silence, her return to steam would come just a year later. In April of 2025, Strasburg 90 was backdated to the "Family" paint scheme which she wore from 1993-2005.
