Montefiore-Einstein’s Community Relations team along with key sponsors hosted three fresh produce distribution events at Lehman College, Hostos Community College and Montefiore Mount Vernon, to help families in the communities we serve this Thanksgiving addressing the social determinant of food insecurity. Volunteers helped package and distribute the healthiest options of produce for families. The team did an incredible job, increasing from 10,000 pounds of fresh produce distributed in 2020 to 40,000 pounds distributed this year and feeding 4,000 families in the Bronx and lower Westchester! We are grateful to all of our partners who help make these events successful.
