The Burghead promontory fort and its mysterious rock-cut well are significant relics of the Pictish kingdom of Fortriu in Moray, Scotland. Once the largest Pictish fort in Scotland, much of it was destroyed in the 19th century to build the modern town and harbor. However, the unique, subterranean well has survived and is open to the public. The Well key can be obtained from the visotor centre where donations are accepted. 🌊
