A single steel pipe knocked down the support? The truth behind the sudden collapse of the floor slab

The video shows workers using steel pipes to knock off the supporting steel pipe temporarily holding the concrete slab in place, allowing the cut slab to fall. While this operation is quick, it is inherently extremely dangerous. The cut slab has completely lost its overall load-bearing capacity and may weigh hundreds of kilograms to several tons. Once the worker knocks off the supporting pipe, the slab will instantly fall freely in an unpredictable direction, and the reinforcing steel may snap and spur. Workers standing directly or diagonally below the slab are in a danger zone, even if only one step away. This method of "manually knocking off the support to let the slab fall freely" offers no cushioning, no controlled descent, and no unloading path, and is explicitly prohibited in demolition work, constituting a serious violation.
The correct method should use jacks or cranes to support the slab, allowing it to "descend in a controlled manner," not by knocking off the steel pipe and letting the slab fall on its own.
