God’s Word In My Life
II Timothy 3:14-17
The verses this morning remind us that the Word of God is:
Inspired (God breathed).
Inerrant (without error) as originally given.
Infallible (it always tells the truth).
Authoritative (this is the Book I must follow to understand what a Christian is).
Profitable (that means it is good) Why?
It has the power to tell the Good News of Jesus Christ.
It teaches doctrine.
It is good for exhortation.
It is good for encouraging.
It instructs in righteousness.

Results: Verse 17…
Spiritually: Proficient, Prepared, and Productive.
Logos - written word
Rhema - Living word from the written word.

Conclusion:

II Timothy 3:14-17
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Joshua 1:7-9
“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Isaiah 55:11
so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

John 14:26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
