Surah Yā-Sīn is the 36th chapter of the Qur’an and is known as “Qalb al-Qur’an” (Heart of the Qur’an) in a Hadith.
🌟 Main Fazā’il (Virtues)
Heart of the Qur’an
Prophet ﷺ said:
“Everything has a heart, and the heart of the Qur’an is Yā-Sīn.”
(Tirmidhi)
Forgiveness of sins
“Whoever recites Yā-Sīn at night seeking Allah’s pleasure will be forgiven.”
(Ibn Hibban)
Ease at the time of death
It is recommended to recite Surah Yā-Sīn near a dying person for ease.
Rewards for recitation
Reciting it brings great reward and mercy from Allah.
Protection & Barakah
Many scholars mention it brings blessings and protection in daily life.

Bride of the Qur’an
Prophet ﷺ said:
“Everything has a bride, and the bride of the Qur’an is Ar-Rahman.”
(Bayhaqi)
Reminder of Allah’s Blessings
The verse:
“Fabi ayyi ālā’i Rabbikumā tukadhdhibān”
(Which of your Lord’s favors will you deny?)
is repeated 31 times to remind humans and jinn of Allah’s countless blessings.
Softens the heart
Reciting it increases gratitude and humility.
Peace and comfort
It brings spiritual peace and strengthens love for Allah.
