That first video on Pick-Me's was heavy, so I'm taking an intermission, before posting the other two. Take a breather. Look away if you're not ready, or think tarot cards and marine life are demonic.
I've been thinking a lot about Polar Bears this week. What lessons can they teach me about moving into the future. I share a poem I wrote on Polar Bears. I'm reflecting on it. It brought me to what wisdom I could glean from Undrowned: Black Feminist Lessons from Marine Mammals. It is written by Dr. Alexis Pauline Gumbs. I landed on page 123 on surrender. The lessons were from the sperm whale. I also asked for some clarity and pulled a tarot card, as well as a Bible verse. Spoiler Alert: I got Ace of Pentacles and James 11: 32. I read it to verse 44. It talks about Jesus raising Lazarus, the blind man, from the dead.
What lessons come to mind?
