This project is an Indigenous black metal. Formed in
Palhoça, Santa Catarina (Brazil) in 2022..

Waliche is a one-man band that plays authentic Indigenous Black Metal. Unlike other Black Metal bands, which generally have white members who embrace Indigenous themes, Waliche consists of a single Indigenous member.

The sole member in question is Ijou’Oyyenden, an Indigenous musician from the Charrúa people.
Inspired by other Indigenous bands such as XIBALBA ITZAES, BLACKBRAID, CORUBO, and PAN AMERIKAN NATIVE FRONT, Waliche also draws significant inspiration and influence from Bathory, Nargaroth, and Dissection.on.
