Sajal chhat par chadne ki koshish mein halak hoti, bechari barbarah kar rahi thi. Uska bachpan mein Asad Shah ke saath nikah hua tha, jo usey parhana ka junoon rakhta tha. Isliye usne Sajal ko shehar le aaya tha, lekin Sajal ko lagta tha ke char zindagiyan to hain — yeh bore karne wali kitaabein kyun zaya kare?
“Iski zarurat pad sakti hai tumhe,” Asad ki tanz bhari awaaz par woh dar kar murhi aur dekha ke woh ladder pakde khoon khawar nazron se usay ghoor raha tha.
“Mm… main to hawa lene aayi thi…” woh tharthara kar boli.
