Yet another one of the precious few groups which re-create the music of Antiquity, Ensemble De Organographia is one of the earlier groups, releasing their first album in 1995. This album contains varied music, dating between 500 and 300 BCE.
Historical Note: Despite the fact this music is a reproduction of Greek creations, the Ancient Romans were notable for deriving nearly all of their music (especially in upper-class settings) from the Greeks. Therefore, this music was just as common in the Roman Republic/Empire as it was in Greece. In fact, at least two of the Musica Romana (Roman music re-enactors) pieces are nearly identical to the songs produced by this group. (The first song in this video is one of such pieces, as Musica Romana recorded an almost identical song themselves)
