This is a stop motion video of a copper vase being raised and planished. I stopped to take a frame every time around with a hammer while I was raising, and then while I was planishing I took a frame every time I planished about an inch up the side of the vase. I started with a 9 1/2 inch disc of copper.
Full disclosure: I typically would take more courses (a "course" is one round of hammering, covering the entire object with hammer blows); I found that I was far more efficient with my hammering while doing the stop-motion. I was constantly stopping to take pictures, so my arms never got tired!
