Our Story

The roots of Davy Liver can be traced back to a telephone directory listing for Liver Cars all the way back in 1952. Since that day, Davy Liver Taxis has continued to grow from strength to strength across all areas of it's business.

In April 2008, Davy Liver began training taxi drivers to pass the street knowledge examination required to obtain a Taxi Badge License. Following its success, in September 2009, Davy Liver Ltd. was acknowledged as an Accredited Training Centre by Edexcel to train drivers in Road Passenger Transport courses.

DLT provides up-to-date and comprehensive information, advice and guidance in relation to learning and work for employers, their employees, clients and learners. The DLT team is dedicated to providing a high standard, confidential service to all stakeholders. We work in close partnership with other providers and support agencies enabling us to provide alternative options, choices and progression routes.

We offer Skills knowledge training, BTec and NVQ training and support. Our experience and qualified staff will speak to you with respect and in confidence. In February 2010, Davy Liver Ltd. received the prestigious Investors in People Award by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills. This is a nationally recognised, externally assessed, quality standard that sets a benchmark of good practice for managing and developing people to help organisations improve their performance through their employees.

In January 2011, Davy Liver was approved by Liverpool City Council to train potential taxi drivers in the new Liverpool Standard Qualification required to obtain the Taxi Badge License necessary to taxi in Liverpool.
