64 year old B.J. Atkinson is know as the "grandmother" of the Nova Scotia Womens Baseball League. She is clearly the oldest player in the 4 team Nova Scotia Monarchs Womens League and is thrilled to be still playing the game she has loved since childhood. She had no choice but to play with the boys when growing up in the 60's and 70's and eventually went onto play competitive fastball in womens leagues. She returned to the diamond this season and has loved every minute playing the game which inspired her at an early age.
