Описание: Sega released Golden Axe, a side-scrolling arcade beat 'em up, in 1989. The principal developer of the Golden Axe and the person who brought Altered Beast to life was Makoto Uchida. The player controls one of three warriors in the game, each of whom is out for vengeance against the evil ruler Death Adder. Their companion and partner, Alex, was murdered after Death Adder invaded the hitherto tranquil country of Yuria. The game was ported to a number of platforms, notably the Mega Drive/Genesis and Master System. Then came several sequels. Three heroes are highlighted in the game. One of them is Gilius Thunderhead, a dwarf from the Wolud mines who carries a combat axe and whose twin brother was killed by Death Adder's men. Another is a male barbarian named Ax Battler who is seeking retribution for the killing of his mother and is brandishing a two-handed broadsword. The final is Tyris Flare, an amazon with a longsword, whose parents were slain by Death Adder.
