Описание: In this tutorial, a simple FGM axial bar problem is solved using ANSYS. Linear variation of Young's modulus is taken in this tutorial for the ease of FGM modelling. From the simple conductive thermal analysis, it is observed that the temperature variation is linear with respect to spacial locations and the relation between the temperature and spacial variation of Young's modulus can be easily obtained. Using this relation, the input (Temp-Young's modulus) can be given to ANSYS.
