Budget 2026 has introduced a significant tax burden for stock market participants, primarily through a sharp hike in Securities Transaction Tax (STT) on Futures and Options (F&O) trade with Futures jumping from 0.02% to 0.05% and Options rising from 0.10% to 0.15%.
