Montessori's Great Lessons are a series of presentations forming the "backbone" of instruction. These presentations are repeated annually using more sophisticated and scientific vocabulary and concepts throughout a child's elementary experience. The first great lesson is the scientific origin story of our universe. The second and third great lessons introduce children to the story of life on earth, and the fourth and fifth great lessons examine the beginning of human society and culture.

"What is that Montessori thing all about?" is a collection of videos for anyone curious about Montessori education, pedagogy, and philosophy. You might be an educator teaching at any level, a school administrator, a parent, a grandparent, or other family member, or a high school or college student considering education as a profession. Or, you may have heard the word "Montessori" over the years and never had anyone to explain it to you. While there is no single way to implement Montessori education, some important principles guide us across a global community. Montessori schools can be found in just about every country in the world.
