From soccer skills to chewing gum chains, new world records announced

The Guinness World Records, which adjudicates on record-breaking achievements, has revealed some of the stars of its next book, which launches today.

Frank Faeek Hachem from Hampshire, southern England, UK stands at 136.2cm tall, making him the world's shortest bus driver. He needs no special modifications in his bus. He just adjusts the seat and the steering wheel then off he goes.

Also from Hampshire is professional stunt rider and motorbiker Marco George, who hit 122.59 km/h on his bike while performing a headstand on the seat. He first started out learning headstands in 2017. Now, he holds the title for 'fastest speed on a motorcycle while performing a headstand/handstand'.

11-year-old Nigerian Eche Chinoso scored 111 touches with one football while balancing another on his head.

He is now the title holder of the 'most consecutive football (soccer) touches in one minute while balancing a football on the head'.

Eche has been practicing his skill for three years, and now trains twice daily. 

Rats Freddie and Frankie, aka 'the Boys' have some tricks up their furry paws, breaking two rat-related world records for owner Luke Roberts from Watford.

They hold the 'most alternating paw tricks by a rat in 30 seconds' of 28 tricks, and the 'most jumps through a hoop by a rat in 30 seconds' of eight leaps.

The 18 month-olds have been training since their were three months old. Roberts says it took six to eight weeks of nightly training to perfect their respective records.

India's Zorawar Singh, 21, a multiple Guinness World Records title holder, has scooped the record for the 'most skips on roller/inline skates in 30 seconds', with 135 skips. However, since the book has gone to print, Singh has smashed his own record, reaching 147 skips.

He trained six days a week for up to four hours per day to achieved the record.

Canadian-born Gary Duschl, who now lives in Virginia Beach in the US, started building a chain out of gum wrappers on 11 March, 1965 while at high school.

42,000 hours later (or roughly two hours per day), Duschl is the proud owner not only of a 32,556-metre gum wrapper chain, but also holds the record for the 'longest gum wrapper chain'.

Another collector, American Paul Scardino, can now claim to have the world's 'largest collection of Funko Pop! figurines' - 5,306 in total.

Canada's Sarah Louis-Jean used boleadoras - a type of throwing weapon made of weights on the ends of interconnected cords - to floor tap her way into the record book, tallying 385 taps in one minute.
