Video and photos released by the U.S. Central Command on Wednesday (March 4) showed missiles striking Iranian military vehicles and equipment as well as a Soleimani-class warship as part of Operation Epic Fury.
Reuters was not able to verify the location and date of the footage. The vessel was confirmed as a IRIS Shahid Soleimani-class corvette with file imagery and no older version of the video was found posted before Wednesday (March 4).
A separate video by the U.S. Defense Department on Tuesday (March 3) showed missiles being fired from the guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge. It also showed fighter jets launching from the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford on, as U.S. forces carried out strikes against targets in Iran.
The footage, distributed by the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS), showed missiles leaving the ship’s launch systems and F/A-18 fighter jets taking off from the carrier’s flight deck.
