As we begin our new series First Things First: Kingdom Relationships, this message lays the foundation for healthy, life-giving relationships by going back to the very beginning of Scripture.
In Genesis, we see that humanity is created in the image of a relational God. We were never designed for isolation, but for connection, knowing, and being known. Yet so many of us feel alone even in crowded rooms, surrounded by people but still unseen.
This message explores:
Why we are made for relationships, not isolation
The three levels of conversation and why depth matters
Why loneliness is not about proximity but about being known
How shame and fear sabotage meaningful connection
Why human relationships cannot bear the weight of your identity
How our identity in Jesus becomes the foundation for healthy relationships
Pastor Dale reminds us that the core issue in broken relationships is not technique, personality, or effort. It is identity. When we look to relationships to give us what only God can provide, disorder follows. But when we live loved by God, we are finally free to love others well.
Loved people love.
Unloved people use.
At the cross, Jesus meets us fully known and fully loved. As we receive His love, fear loses its grip, shame is brought into the light, and our relationships begin to heal from the inside out.
