The Lake of Fire- Worse than Hell! Rev. Anton T. Wesley

Many people fail to realize that hell is the temporary holding area for the unrighteous dead. Revelation 20:11-15. After the unrighteous dead are judged, they will be cast into the Lake of Fire, where they will join Satan, the Beast and the Antichrist, who will already be there. Satan is to be thrown into the Lake of Fire after his utter and final defeat at the Battle of Jerusalem. The Battle of Jerusalem is often erroneously referred to as the Battle of Armageddon. The Battle of Jerusalem and the Battle of Armageddon are separate and distinct battles. The Battle of Armageddon takes place first. In this battle, the Lord, our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, defeats the Beast and the Antichrist and has them both thrown alive into the Lake of Fire. Revelation 19:19-21 There they burn in torments of liquid fire for a thousand years, and Satan is cast into a bottomless abyss into which he falls in the utterly dark void for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:1-3) After this, he is released and he quickly assembles a vast army which he leads in an attack on Jerusalem, the Holy City where Jesus Christ is ruling the world upon Davids throne. Satan is summarily and easily defeated, and he is cast into the Lake of Fire after the battle, where he joins the Beast and the Antichrist, who are already there. (Revelation 20:7-10) Soon after, the Great White Throne judgment will take place. It is at the Great White Throne judgment that all of the unrighteous dead will receive their final judgment and sentence of damnation. Everyone whose name is not written into the Book of Life will be cast into the Lake of Fire, to join Satan, the Beast and The Antichrist. In addition, death and hell are thrown into the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20:11-15. There are also demon spirits, incredibly powerful devil-like fallen angels, who have been imprisoned under chains in darkness ever since the original angelic rebellion too place. These fallen angels will be removed from their imprisonment and cast into the Lake of Fire also. (Jude 1:6) The Lake of Fire is the final place of eternal torment for all of Gods enemies, both fallen angels and fallen humans. There is no escape from the Lake of Fire. It is a place of everlasting torment of a type that is so incredibly painful that the Holy Spirit compares it to swimming in a lake of fire. It is not physical fire. It is like a spiritual fire. That is not the only terrible thing about this unimaginably horrible place of punishment. The pain never lessens. Remember, we are talking about a spiritual body. It cannot be reduced to smaller parts. Spirit is a whole. Every moment of pain, for all eternity, will be just as painful as the very first agonies. Finally, there is another reason why the Lake of Fire is not where you want to wind up. Imagine what it will be like to have all of those unthinkably wicked beings loose with no restrictions, taking out their agonies on whoever is so unfortunate as to be sharing the lake with them. There will be no one to help you, to protect you from them, nor to care what happens to you, nor to make them leave you to burn in relative peace. There will be no place to hide. Imagine the torments, and added to that, the torment of knowing and remembering all of the times that four can so close to accepting Jesus Christ as your savior. Accept Him now, before it is eternally too late. The Lake of Fire is not where you want to spend eternity. Repent, before it is too late! I pray that this teaching will truly bless you.
