SWTCH and FLO Partner for Easier North American EV Charging

Transcript: Drive Tesla Canada is reporting that Toronto-based SWTCH Energy and Quebec’s FLO have teamed up to make charging an electric vehicle a lot easier across North America. The two companies have launched a roaming agreement that lets users of either the SWTCH or FLO apps access both networks using just one account and one payment method—no more juggling between different apps.

Together, their combined network now includes more than 180,000 chargers, with over 70,000 from SWTCH and about 110,000 from FLO. That means easier road trip planning, better visibility of charger locations, and more consistent access, whether you're in Canada or the U.S.

On the technical side, SWTCH supports everything from Level 2 chargers to fast chargers over 350 kW. FLO offers dual-port chargers up to 320 kW with its FLO Ultra and AC chargers up to 19.2 kW through its CoRe+ line. This partnership adds to existing deals both have with other networks, including ChargePoint, Shell Recharge, and Quebec’s Electric Circuit.

For EV drivers, it’s a meaningful step toward more reliable and user-friendly charging—one account, one wallet, and way fewer headaches on the road.
