When you think about Asian fragrances, it’s natural to think about the big names from South Korea like Tamburins and BORNTOSTANDOUT. But did you know there’s another fragrance series from China that’s gaining lots of popularity lately?

It’s called 观夏 tosummer, and it is the most popular fragrance brand in China, known for their unique oriental scents. Some of the interesting ones are the 茶茶茶 which smelt like freshly-brewed Chinese tea, and the Bitter which smelt like sichuan peppercorn. They have quite a wide selection too, with two types of size - the 30ml is going for around RMB 498 (S$92) and the 100ml is RMB 1198 (~S$220), which is cheaper than most other bespoke brands.✨

Not only did they get the fragrances right, they slayed with the aesthetics too, with these gemstone sculptures as the bottle cap. We visited their new Guangzhou flagship store as well which is housed inside a historical building, retaining its traditional elements. The brand also has other products aside from their perfumes, such as diffusers, solid balm, hand soaps, and many more. If you purchase a bottle here at their flagship store, they also have complimentary name engraving service on the bottle.
