Описание: 48 years ago, my dad passed away when I was 17 years old. Today I want to honor him and my mom, who passed from this life at age 92 on May 20, 2020. They were so full of life, so full of music, so full of joy! I'm missing them today, and just want to share this special song – a spontaneous song I played and sang the night Mom died, May 20, 2020, a song "in memory of Steve and Martha Kuban." I'm eternally thankful to them for all the love that they gave me, and everything they sacrificed, to make sure I had a happy and trouble-free life, and especially that the music that flowed through my life from birth, they encouraged in every way possible. Because of their sacrifices the music that God gave me has touched many lives in this world. I am forever grateful to my parents for doing all they could to encourage and cultivate this music every day of their lives.

One of my mom and dad's favorite songs was "O Dem Golden Slippers." It's one of the first songs I ever played on the piano, together with my dad on the button accordion. My childhood memories are filled with times when all the neighbors would come to our little house situated at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Southern Alberta, rejoicing and singing "songs from the old country" (Slovakian polkas especially) which my dad and I would play together. I was only 5 years old and I can still remember it like yesterday, especially hearing dad stomp his feet on the wooden floorboards of our old house. In this 25 minute spontaneous tribute to them, I include this special song about heaven, in their honor. I believe I will see them in heaven, and on that day we're going to have a grand musical reunion!
