Up in the office, Eve and Diana work away at the Mirai website and remote office planning. Downstairs in the workshop, Ryan guides attentive pine students through fall scopes of work on their trees.

Water drips from needles and elongated growth after a heavy morning mist. The office, tinted with blue morning light, hosts Diana and Eve today who are working on Mirai strategy and remote planning for the upcoming lockdown in Oregon. Ryan guides his class through a front selection process on a raw, unstyled pine while Troy finely prunes a juniper in the workshop. Stepping outside for a moment, Ryan shares his strife regarding a prized juniper that took a tumble in a recent storm, and shows us the mild yet stunning winter color beginning to show face in various species including the bald cypress, tamarisk, and multiple junipers. Having just returned from the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, Ryan is energized with bonsai enticement heading into the winter season.
