I read some where that touching wood 'induces parasympathetic nervous activity more than other materials, thereby inducing physiological relaxation'.
Maybe that's why I have been involved with wood veneers for nearly 30 years. I still love to see the beauty in the wood revealed with the first swipe of finish.
In this video I hope my enthusiasm for talking about exotic wood burl veneers shines thru. In my opinion burls are 'eye candy' for woodworkers.
I have worked with all of these burl woods, some more than others. I have formed opinions on how hard or easy each veneer was to work with to get the results I wanted for my woodworking projects.
My goal with this video is to introduce and encourage you to burl wood veneers.
