In this video, we’ll talk about genetic variants.
Genetic variants are small changes in the DNA somewhere inside the genome. These variants create a lot of the diversity we see in the natural world, such as different eye and skin colors or susceptibility to disease.
Knowing about genetic variants helps us understand and interpret genomic sequencing results. In other words, we can better understand the bioinformatics and data science of the genome.
