About this video: Throughout Spring of 2025, I managed to gather videos at all of the railroad crossings in Gloucester, MA, a town with the second to last station stop on the MBTA Commuter Rail’s Rockport Line (formally known as the Gloucester Branch). As one of only two towns on the line that does not have “no horn zones” in effect, Gloucester is one of the only places on the north shore of Massachusetts where train horns can be heard at all hours of the day. Crossings appear in this video in order from closest to furthest from Boston, starting in West Gloucester and moving into downtown. The street that each crossing is located on is listed on screen, with multiple angles of some crossings featured if I was able to get enough footage.
