if you want to grow kale in containers itself very important that the soil is well draining and water retentive. Kale like all brassicas are heavy feeders and need lots of nutrients and water.

1.Let's start by choosing which container is best, and you can use anything from a 5 gallon bucket up to a 20 gallon container. Plant per container ration is the following;
• 5 Gallon Bucket- 1 Plant
• 10-15 Gallon Container - 2 Plants
• 20 Gallon Container - 3 Plants
• ToolBox Tote - 4 Plants


2. Kale plants are best when started from seed, they are cheaper and you can control the growth process more effectively. You can get seedlings from your local garden store at a cost of 6 plants for $3.50

3. Mix equal parts of fresh compost and peat moss or coco coir. Mix well.

4. Add handful of organic vegetable fertilizer, azomite rock dust, garden lime for ph neutralizer.

5. Place Kale plant deep enough, kale will regrow roots from the stem. Water well.

6. After a 2 weeks of growing add a table spoon per gallon of water of the fish emulsion fertilizer. NPK 5.1.1

7. Water and fertilize often and you will have the joy of harvesting kale for fresh salads all year round.
