Correction: I originally stated that Julia Morgan was the first woman to graduate from UC Berkeley's College of Engineering. That was incorrect. Elizabeth Bragg earned that distinction in 1876 as the first woman to graduate in civil engineering from UC Berkeley, and from any American university. Julia Morgan's distinction was that she was the only woman in her engineering class when she graduated in 1894. Thanks to the viewer ‪@TFinSF-1‬ who pointed out the correction.

If you want a quick introduction and tend to get bored by nonfiction, start here. It has a narrative structure and a great little quick read. Pages 122-125 have a list of her buildings with addresses and years built, very helpful.

Julia Morgan: An Intimate Biography of the Trailblazing Architect, Victoria Kastner
My recommendation if you want to go deeper. A lot of the books I read cover similar ground, but this one brought in some different anecdotes and really stood out.
