Class sizes in 2026 - SQUEEZE em’ in cause why not?! 🫠 In Ontario, a previous cap of 32 students per class was quietly removed, meaning some classrooms could continue to grow as long as the board meets the overall average of 24.5 students.
WHY CLASS SIZE MATTERS: Research shows they allow for more individual attention, better differentiation, stronger student teacher relationships, improved engagement, and fewer behaviour issues.
Teachers also report better working conditions and reduced burnout when classes are smaller.
