Cycling up Pico Veleta, with it's 3.398 m altidude at it's peak, is the highest peak you can reach on a bicycle in Europe.
Though we took on the climb in the end of May and started in 30 degrees celcius, we still ran out of road because the snow was covering the road. We ended up cycling 40,5 km uphill, riding +80 km in total, 2.394 meters of altitude gain and reached a maximum of 3.042 m above sea level in about 2 degrees celcius.
