In our practice, we see cases of slipping rib syndrome, costochondritis, Tietze syndrome, and thoracic pain. In many of these instances, the ligaments are too loose or stretched out which causes them to fail to keep the rib or sternum stable which causes a lot of pain and irritate the intercostal nerves. The goal of prolotherapy treatment is to achieve stabilization of the connective tissue along the front and back of the rib attachments.
