I and my friends set out on one of the most scenic and adventurous rides in Jammu & Kashmir — the journey to Warwan Valley via Margan Top. I had my Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
Margan Top sits at an altitude of 3,700 meters (12,139 ft) above sea level, offering a panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains, deep gorges, and alpine meadows.
Starting Point: Srinagar
Route: Srinagar → Anantnag → Kokernag → Vailoo → Margan Top → Warwan Valley
Total Distance: ~190 km (one way)
Ride Duration: ~5–6 hours (with photo stops and breaks)
Best Time: Late June to September (when the road is clear and weather is pleasant)
The Himalayan 450 tackled rough trails, stream crossings, and high-altitude climbs with ease — the perfect companion for this kind of terrain.
