Описание: Day 3 of our Coast to Coast Walk Uk adventure, we tackle the challenging 1900ft climb from Rosthwaite to Grasmere, a section of the Coast to Coast walk that pushes us to our limits. The Greenup Edge climb is notorious for being one of the toughest sections of the C2C, and I'm excited to share my experience of hiking from Borrowdale to Grasmere, taking in the stunning views of the Lake District and the beautiful waterfalls on Grasmere Common. Along the way, I'll be stopping at some of the best places to stay in Grasmere for hikers, including The Swan Hotel Grasmere, and sampling some of the famous Grasmere Gingerbread.

The Route:
We set off from Chapel Farm Campsite at 9:00 AM under a blanket of low cloud. The climb to Greenup Edge is a section you don't see often on YouTube, but it’s a beast! With 1,900 feet of steep, craggy elevation, it certainly tested our resolve. However, the reward once we hit Linning Crag was worth every drop of sweat.

Highlights of the Day:
• Atmospheric Starts: Saying goodbye to Rosthwaite and the great facilities at Chapel Farm (don't forget your 50p for the showers!).
• The Big Climb: Navigating the "steep steeps" of Greenup Edge.
• Grasmere Common: Discovering some of the most beautiful hidden waterfalls in the Lake District.
• The Reward: Tasting the legendary Grasmere Gingerbread and swapping the tent for a night of luxury at The Swan Hotel.
