Ingredients:
1 cup seedless dates (khajoor)
2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
1 cup almonds (badam)
1 cup cashews (kaju)
1 cup walnuts (akhrot)
1 cup raisins (kishmish)
1 tbsp poppy seeds (khuskhus) – optional
1 tsp cardamom powder (elaichi)
1 cup desiccated coconut – optional
🔥 Instructions:
Chop Dates:
Finely chop the dates or pulse them in a mixer for a coarse paste.
Dry Roast Nuts:
In a pan, dry roast almonds, cashews, walnuts, for 2-3 minutes until slightly golden.
Cool and coarsely crush them using a mixer (do not powder).
Sauté Dates:
Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan.
Add the chopped/paste of dates and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes till soft.
Add Crushed Dry Fruits & Raisins:
Mix the crushed nuts, raisins, and cardamom powder into the softened dates.
Mix well till everything combines into a sticky mixture. Turn off the heat.
Cool Slightly & Shape:
Let it cool slightly (warm enough to handle).
Grease your palms with a little ghee and shape into small ladoos.
Roll (Optional):
You can roll ladoos in desiccated coconut or poppy seeds for extra texture.
