Three freedivers united by a single passion – the appeal of the unknown and a developed taste for athletic discovery – have decided to embark on a joint quest for their Holy Grail: to swim with the whales and biggest mammals of the South Polar Ocean. These three highly trained athletes will travel to the other end of the world to share a brief summer with penguins, sea lions, leopard seals, and whales. Sailing their polar yacht on the waters of the Antarctic peninsula, they will take on the ice to discover the hidden part of icebergs. Day after day, they will have to skirt storms and plunge into the icy ocean, seeking marine encounters. Their enthusiasm and their familiarity with the underwater world will open the gates of a mysterious realm where extreme conditions impose their own rhythms and limits. Throughout this voyage, in mountain-encircled bays, they will have to go above and beyond in order to immerse themselves in near-freezing water, to not cave in to the cold, and, finally, to seek their ultimate reward.
