The FT 150 provides six axes of information back to the UR controller via an RS-485/USB connection. The robot can then monitor that information and use it in a variety of ways. For this example, the robot makes a move seeking a part in a linear path. It uses the FT sensor feedback to see if it has bumped into a part. When the part is detected, the robot records the position and then picks the part up normally.
